HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN BUSINESS?

Care To Be Home opened their doors in late 2014, however the Operating Manager Brad Fausett has launched two other Homecare business and has over 7 years experience in the industry. Brad with his partners have combined over 50 years of experience in healthcare from Home Health/Hospice ownership, Podiatry, and hospital administration.

WHAT KIND OF SERVICE DO YOU PROVIDE?

Care To Be Home assists seniors and the disabled with completing their activities of daily living. Activities of daily living are the daily tasks that we all complete from day to day from personal hygiene to preparing and eating meals. Our caregivers can assist with most anything that doesn’t require a nurse or doctor to provide.

ARE YOU CAREGIVER INSURED?

All of our caregivers are background checked and covered under workers compensation, general liability insurance and a fidelity bond. We are happy to provide a copy of our insurance, just give us a call.

THERE ARE MULTIPLE PEOPLE LIVING IN THE HOME, WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR THEM?

Our caregivers are just that, caregivers to one client. Our caregivers are happy to assist with light housekeeping, bathing, meal preparation for the client and the client’s living areas but they are do not provide care for those who are not a client. In cases where there are two individuals that need care we will service both clients, occasionally we will require a premium for the second person. This will be discussed during the in home assessment.

DO YOUR CAREGIVERS ADMINISTER MEDICATION?

In most states our caregivers are not allowed to administer medication but they can remind and record that the medication was taken. Making sure that your loved ones are taking the correct amount of medication at the correct time can be a very instrumental service to ensure the safety of your loved ones at home.

CAN I MEET MULTIPLE CAREGIVERS AND CHOOSE THE ONE I LIKE BEST?

We are always thinking about our caregivers and their time and feelings, because of this we prefer to not have clients interview them in most situations. Our normal process is completing a free in house assessment where we get to know the needs and personality of the client. We then use our database and Caregiver Match program to ensure that we choose the right person for the job. We have a 100% compatibility promise which states that we will replace any caregiver that is not right for you. Our clients are almost always happy with the first caregiver.

HOW DO YOU TRACK YOUR CAREGIVERS?

We have a telephony system that clocks in and out the caregivers. We can track their phone calls with gps to know they are calling from your home and not from somewhere else. All the records and care notes can be seen on the patients/family portal.

IS THERE A CONTRACT?

Absolutely not, you can start and stop anytime. We will ask for a deposit and require a care agreement to be signed but there is nothing that locks you into our services.

DO I PAY THE CAREGIVER?

No. We will bill you twice a month and we pay our caregivers twice a month. You should never pay anything to a caregiver. If groceries or medicine needs to be picked up you can give money to the caregiver and they will bring you back the change and receipt.

DOES MEDICARE PAY FOR THESE SERVICES? WHAT DOES?

Medicare only covers “Clinical Services” because we are considered non clinical we are not covered by medicare. Most of our clients pay for the service out of pocket.

Other means: Long Term Care Insurance, Life Insurance Living Benefits, Reverse Mortgage, Medicaid (in some locations) Health Savings Accounts, Grants (call to see if you qualify). If you are a veteran or the spouse of a veteran there may be benefits available for you as well.

WHAT IF MOM/DAD NEED MORE HELP THAN WHAT YOU CAN PROVIDE?

That’s a great question, the truth is while most people prefer to age at home, they can’t always do it safely. Often times we can find extra support for them through one of our partners (home health, hospice, outpatient services) other times we can help direct you to a proper nursing facility or assisted living location. Family will always have access to the family portal so they can monitor changes in behavior and updates and notes from our caregivers. In times, where we feel another service may benefit the client, we will contact the decision makers.
