Companion care

Companion care provides support to seniors that are fairly independent but require just a little more. Often times our companions find themselves providing lifestyle assistance, like driving to appointments, shopping, errands, and escorting to social engagements. Companion care is considered “Hands Off” care, the caregiver typically will not be assisting with transfers or personal care needs.

Companions are there when you can’t be. It’s hard to always be there for your aging parent or loved one when you have your own children and work responsibilities. Often times family live out of state or in a different city and need to know that Mom or Dad are living in a safe environment. Our companions can assist with light housekeeping & meal preparation. Companions record their daily progress notes in a journal allowing loved ones to have an extra set of eyes and ears in the home.

Being alone in a hospital or nursing home for the first time can be a lonely and unsettling experience. A companion can sit bedside giving comfort and peace of mind to the patient and the family. In these settings our Companions are "hands off" only assisting with comfort needs such as getting water, adjusting air temperature and alerting the facility staff when a loved one needs extra care.

Our sitters are available 24hrs a day and can be used in a number of different facilities. Please feel free to call our office and discuss the needs of your loved one.
