Changing Healthcare

As the government continues to push changes and regulations over the way our healthcare is delivered, those providing the care will continue to adapt and try new ways to do so. In this recent NPR article

it speaks of Doctors giving up the old model of contracting with insurance companies and asking for monthly cash payments instead. According to the 2.8% of doctors that are pushing this new model, they are better able to serve their patients, giving them more time and more personal attention than before. This is a new concept and while many believe it's the right steps only time will tell.

The only thing we know for sure is that our population continues to age and we will need more innovative ways to care for our aging seniors.
